Baile Ristín

This standing stone, on the S slopes of Knockmoylemore, commands a panoramic view over the broad valley through which the Garfinny, Owenalondrig and several smaller rivers flow towards Trabeg.

Irregular in plan, the stone stands 1.58m high and measures a maximum of 1.05m wide x .45m thick. It tapers slightly towards the flat shouldered top; N-S.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 82.
